I'm an engineer and entrepreneur whose career has evolved at the intersection of mechanical design and software development. My professional journey reflects my passion for innovation and my drive to create practical solutions that bridge these two worlds.
Professional Journey
My career began in mechanical design, where I spent eight years honing my skills and developing a deep understanding of engineering principles. During this time, I became increasingly interested in how software could enhance and streamline the design process.
This curiosity led me to explore development of custom add-ins for industry-standard CAD platforms like Autodesk and SolidWorks. By creating specialized tools that addressed specific design challenges, I discovered my aptitude for developing software solutions that improve engineering workflows.
In 2019, I co-founded REV Rides with Nathan Pust, a company that specialized in electric scooters and unicycles in downtown Vancouver. This venture allowed me to combine my engineering background with my entrepreneurial spirit, bringing sustainable urban mobility solutions to the market. For four years, I helped grow REV Rides while increasing my skillset in marketing and sales.
Current Focus
After my time at REV Rides, I founded Aboni Tech, a software development company that represents the culmination of my experience in both mechanical engineering and programming. At Aboni Tech, we specialize in:
- Developing custom .NET add-ins for Inventor and SolidWorks
- Creating web applications that integrate with engineering workflows
- Automating production engineering processes to increase efficiency and reduce errors
- Building software bridges between design and manufacturing
